Privacy Policy
Purpose Church of Denton ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including with respect to text (SMS) messaging.
Information We Collect
We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, such as your name, mobile phone number, email address, and mailing address. This information is typically provided when you fill out a connect card, sign-up form, or communication-preferences form at the church, or when you contact us directly.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Communicate with you about church services, events, ministries, and announcements;
- Respond to your questions, prayer requests, and requests for assistance;
- Send text message updates to members who have opted in to receive them; and
- Maintain accurate records of our congregation and ministry communications.
SMS / Text Messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors who provide support services to the church (such as messaging or communications platforms) is permitted solely to deliver our messages to you.
All categories of mobile opt-in data and consent — including text-messaging originator opt-in data — are excluded from any sharing with third parties for their own purposes. This information will not be sold, rented, or shared with any third party for marketing.
Members opt in to receive text messages by providing their mobile number on a connect card or sign-up form at the church and agreeing to receive text updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For more details, see our SMS Terms & Conditions.
How We Protect Your Information
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate our communications and ministry functions, and only to the extent necessary for them to perform those services on our behalf. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Your Choices
You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may contact us to update or remove your information from our records. To unsubscribe from emails, follow the instructions provided in those messages or contact us directly.
Children's Privacy
Our communications are intended for adults and church members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
